Beschreibung

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of simulation test engineers • Define and own the scaled simulation V&V strategy, roadmap, and technical direction supporting Torc’s autonomous truck safety case • Ensure simulation test methods, processes, and evidence align with ISO 21448 (SOTIF), ISO 8800, and ISO 26262 • Partner with Product, Systems, and Safety teams to translate requirements, hazards, and ODD definitions into simulation V&V strategies and release-readiness criteria • Plan and oversee simulation test campaigns, including resourcing, scheduling, and delivery against program milestones • Guide the evolution of Torc’s Scenario Library with Abstract, Logical, and Concrete scenarios for ODD coverage and requirements traceability • Identify testing gaps and drive requirements for improved test tools, simulation environments, and test frameworks • Manage relationships with internal tools teams and external vendors to evolve simulation and virtual testing toolchains • Review simulation results and communicate V&V status, risks, and findings through dashboards and test reports

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 4+ years of experience • Experience leading virtual testing and simulation of perception and autonomous vehicle behavior • Working knowledge of ISO 26262, ISO 21448 (SOTIF), and ISO 8800 • Experience defining test strategy and overseeing simulation scenarios and test cases with traceability to requirements • Familiarity with scenario-based testing and the ASAM OpenSCENARIO standard • Technical depth in Python and SQL for data analysis • Experience with software and system troubleshooting, system-level analysis, fault isolation, and identification • Working knowledge of probability, statistics, and linear algebra • Experience managing cross-functional partners, internal tools teams, and external simulation vendors • Experience reporting progress and test results to leadership and stakeholders • Familiarity with state-of-the-art autonomous vehicle validation approaches • ADAS verification and validation experience • Experience contributing to safety cases or safety assurance arguments, including simulation tool qualification • Experience developing and validating sensor, traffic vehicle, and vehicle dynamics models • Experience evaluating and interacting with ROS-based systems • Experience hiring, building, and scaling engineering teams
