Beschreibung

• Provide cost management services throughout the project lifecycle for commercial real estate construction projects across the United States • Advise clients on procurement strategies and manage vendor prequalification • Assess proposals, bids, and bid levelling documents; make final client recommendations • Attend and chair bid interviews and manage the vendor appointment process • Develop and manage project estimates covering construction, fees, direct work, and other costs • Review junior team members’ estimates and present estimates, value engineering recommendations, and risk assessments to clients • Meet vendors to review, validate, and challenge costs • Benchmark estimates using data from other projects • Establish cost reporting schedules and review and present cost reports and forecasts • Review project budgets and spend forecasts with clients • Develop and maintain commercial risk registers • Host periodic meetings with project teams and vendors • Review payment application assessments and recommend contractor entitlements • Review vendor change order requests and make recommendations to clients • Apply dispute prevention, management, and resolution procedures to payment requisitions, change orders, and contractual disputes • Manage and monitor invoicing • Benchmark performance against successful commissions • Manage final accounting, post-contract audits, and account closeouts • Conduct post-contract client reviews, document lessons learned, and develop training materials • Develop project handover procedures • Perform SOX control responsibilities where applicable

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a construction-related field • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry • RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable • Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team • Proficiency with bid analysis sheets, change control forms, cost estimating software, and take-off software • Ability to adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable
