Beschreibung

• Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Fund Accounting Department supporting retail alternative products, including interval funds, tender offer funds, and BDCs • Oversee launches of new funds, fund mergers, fund conversions, and advisor/sub-advisor changes • Perform daily review processes when Senior Associates and Managers are out of the office • Oversee accounting activities supporting retail alternatives fund accounting • Oversee training and development of key concepts related to retail alternative funds • Support continuous improvement initiatives in the operating model • Advise executives and management on people management, goal setting, policy development, and strategic implementation • Participate in development and execution of the annual Strategic Plan and communicate it to the department • Participate in daily, monthly, and quarterly executive management meetings regarding department issues • Implement initiatives supporting business objectives • Ensure adequate departmental resources for timely and complete reporting to clients and NASDAQ • Establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies with the SVP and Executive team • Identify efficiency improvements and recommend fund allocations and process changes • Review compliance with regulatory restrictions and recommend accounting procedure changes • Coordinate departmental disaster recovery efforts • Support independent SOC1 audits through research, documentation, responses, and team coordination • Review operational controls for adequacy, compliance, and data integrity • Manage associates, including hiring, training, development, delegation, performance appraisals, salary recommendations, coaching, counseling, and corrective actions • Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings • Establish team and individual department goals and hold associates accountable • Communicate company information and procedural changes to associates • Mentor associates through instruction, coaching, on-the-job experience, and advising • Manage client requests and coordinate calls for new fund setups • Communicate with fund administration, transfer agency, and fund custodians regarding fund accounting activities • Perform other duties as required and assigned
