Beschreibung

• Perform loads development for vehicles and engine programs • Lead load spectrum development for service life assessment • Perform vehicle dynamics analysis • Verify and validate models • Work closely with the test team to request instrumentation necessary to anchor analytical models • Support GFEM development for vehicles and propulsion systems • Propagate loads to vehicle and engine components • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop systems, ensure requirements are met, and comply with structural standards • Collaborate with manufacturing to assess nonconforming hardware and provide recommended dispositions and repairs • Improve analytical methods and seek new approaches and tools • Provide professional development, mentorship, and technical guidance to peers • Report to the Propulsion Analysis Team Lead

🎯 Anforderungen

• B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a comparable field • 8+ years of experience performing loads and dynamics analysis • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment • Expertise in dynamic analysis methods, including structural dynamics, dynamic loads, acoustics, modal analysis, random vibration, and shock response • Experience developing loads for vehicle and/or engine applications • Experience anchoring analytical models to physical testing • Ideal: M.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a comparable field, ideally focused on solid mechanics, fatigue, fracture, or structural dynamics • Ideal: Experience with flutter analysis • Ideal: GFEM development and model grounding experience • Ideal: Knowledge of turbomachinery-related analytical methods, including Campbell diagrams • Ideal: High Cycle Fatigue and Low Cycle Fatigue analysis • Ideal: Finite Element Analysis using commercial codes such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or NASTRAN-based solvers • Ideal: Experience with Femap/Nastran and the ANSYS FEA suite • Ideal: Fracture analysis and NASGRO experience • Ideal: Strong theoretical background in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and/or compressible flow • Ideal: Experience with safety-critical systems in production environments • Ideal: Professional experience in rocketry or turbomachinery • Ideal: Failure investigations and root-cause analysis • Ideal: Effective oral and written communication to support recommendations • Ideal: Thermal-structural static analysis, fluid analysis, and knowledge of composite materials, insulation, and ablative thermal protection systems • Must be a U.S. Person, including U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
