Beschreibung

• Initiate, direct, and execute scientific research and development strategies for Valent U.S.A. LLC’s conventional, sustainable, and organic pipeline • Plan and execute field research and coordinate research trials in the assigned territory • Develop study protocols and track/report results using Valent’s internal research software and procedures • Conduct sales support trials, including product demonstrations and small plot replicated studies • Investigate potential product complaints and determine workable solutions • Develop and maintain relationships with university and extension personnel, commodity representatives, government employees, growers/producers, and pest control advisors • Work with the Sustainable Solutions Business Unit to create sustainable strategies and tactics • Assist with product recommendations, labeling, and center-of-influence support • Communicate actionable information to internal departments • Develop technical PowerPoint presentations and literature supporting product labels and meetings • Review proposed label and advertising copy for technical soundness • Lead and serve on teams and task forces • Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant on cropping systems in the Mid-Atlantic states • Provide technical and market support to sales territory account managers and sustainable solutions specialists • Participate in patent application development • Interface with marketing, sales, and other Valent departments

🎯 Anforderungen

• Typically, a MS or equivalent, with 4–8 years of related experience, or Ph.D. Degree in biological sciences • Excellent communication skills • Customer focus, interpersonal skills, and teamwork • Spreadsheet and word processing skills • Problem solving, detail orientation, evaluation, and interpretation of data • Equipment/instrument maintenance and repair skills • Willingness to work across assigned large geographic territories spanning multiple states • Required overnight travel approximately 25–50% • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.; physical demands may include lifting up to 100+ lbs. • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record • Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions • Must be able to obtain a pesticide applicator license and other state-required licenses • Ability to travel by air or car up to 50% of the time and drive safely for long distances • Ability to work around moving vehicles, equipment, machinery, uneven ground, noise, temperature extremes, dust, fumes, chemicals, venomous insects and animals, and heights • May be required to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment
