Beschreibung

• Lead the medication intake process and liaise among clinic providers, clinic staff, pharmacies, and patients • Conduct benefits investigations to determine patient coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and available financial assistance • Identify and recommend patient assistance programs, copay cards, grants, or funds • Gather and review documentation for prior authorization submissions • Escalate appeals for coverage denials and coordinate next steps with clinic staff • Communicate with clinics to obtain information and guidance for prior authorization submissions • Conduct patient outreach about medication coverage and financial assistance options • Provide pharmacy recommendations • Communicate coverage determinations and coordinate patient follow-up on behalf of client clinics • Document accurately in client EMR systems and Visante tracking tools • Assist with onboarding and training client-employed medication access specialists • Contribute to process improvements • Collaborate with Visante team members and leadership, providing operational insight and feedback • Complete other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum of three years of pharmacy experience in healthcare or with pharmacy providers focused on medication access • Two years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, including medication authorizations and preadmission/precertification processes preferred • Expertise in retail pharmacy PBM adjudication, ensuring accurate claim processing and reimbursement • Proficient in utilizing CoverMyMeds® for prior authorization submissions preferred • State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration obtained within 2 months of start date, if applicable based on state requirements • Active CPhT certification through either PTCB or NHA preferred • Strong judgment and decision-making skills • Ability to manage competing demands, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with urgency • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills • Professional and concise verbal and written communication • Expertise in medication reimbursement, prior authorization, and healthcare coding • Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy • Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
