Beschreibung

• Monitor regulatory developments across all 50 states and the SEC • Track new compliance issues, rule proposals, and comment periods • Develop and maintain XYPN’s advocacy and policy roadmap • Partner with the Managing Director and Executive Team on advocacy priorities and engagement recommendations • Develop understanding of member firms, industry trends, and emerging regulatory issues • Gather member feedback, case studies, and practical examples for advocacy positions • Coordinate member communications about advocacy initiatives, regulatory updates, and policy resources • Prepare members for legislative or regulatory hearings and meetings with regulators and legislators • Develop and deliver educational sessions for legislators, regulators, members, and industry groups • Build relationships with regulators, industry stakeholders, advocacy partners, and member firms • Coordinate strategic partnerships with industry associations • Draft policy positions, comment letters, white papers, policy briefs, issue summaries, case studies, and testimony • Lead advocacy activity with individual states, the SEC, and NASAA • Represent XYPN in meetings with regulators and other stakeholders • Attend conferences, regulatory events, hearings, symposia, and working groups • Report on policy issues tracked, comment letters submitted, regulator meetings, and evidenced policy impact • Travel up to 20%

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of relevant experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, securities regulation, or financial services advocacy • Experience tracking, analyzing, and responding to state and/or federal regulatory developments • Ability to independently analyze and summarize complex securities legislation and regulatory proposals • Excellent written communication skills • Experience drafting white papers, policy briefs, and comment letters • Familiarity with administrative rulemaking processes, public comment procedures, regulatory hearings, and policy engagement strategies • Strong understanding of the securities and financial services regulatory framework governing investment advisers • Strong relationship management skills across regulators, members, and industry partners • Ability to operate strategically and operationally • Track record of managing high-stakes policy issues and building relationships with state and federal financial regulators • Legally authorized to live and work in the United States without present or future sponsorship • Proficiency with regulatory tracking tools such as GovHawk, Quorum, or Lexis State Net is advantageous • Experience with RIAs, state securities regulators, NASAA, or the SEC is advantageous • JD or legal background is advantageous • Experience representing an organization during rule-making proceedings, hearings, or formal regulatory engagement is advantageous • Ability to influence policy outcomes through advocacy, coalition-building, or regulator engagement • Experience developing educational programming or training • Background in a membership organization, trade association, or advocacy-focused environment • Understanding of operational realities and compliance challenges facing independent RIAs • Experience coordinating cross-functional advocacy or policy communication efforts
