Beschreibung

• Lead Counterpart’s flat-by-design engineering organization and scale its impact through infrastructure, context systems, and AI agents. • Own the technical vision, engineering operations, and people strategy for Engineering. • Shape how Counterpart builds and operates software in an AI-native world in partnership with the CEO, engineering leaders, and technical product managers. • Allocate engineering people and agents across competing initiatives. • Own allocation decisions, engineering standards, delivery quality, and mechanisms maintaining technical coherence across independent project teams. • Own developer experience, AI and data platforms, and system infrastructure. • Own hiring, performance management, compensation, and talent development for the engineering organization. • Partner with the Head of People and Chief of Staff on Engineering’s people model and operations. • Ensure systems meet standards for reliability, observability, security, and compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and NYC Cybersecurity regulations. • Represent Counterpart’s technology capabilities internally and externally to leadership, partners, and investors. • Represent Counterpart’s technology strategy to the board.

🎯 Anforderungen

• 12+ years of engineering leadership, with experience leading engineering organizations through multiple company-stage transitions. • Experience operating at a scale requiring regular engagement with the board, investors, and executive leadership. • Strong point of view on AI-native engineering and how AI changes engineering roles, organizations, and software delivery economics. • Deep technical fluency in system architecture, AI and data infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. • Customer empathy and product sense, with the ability to connect business and technology decisions. • Experience leading fully distributed teams with high trust and high accountability. • Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, fintech, healthcare, or similar is a strong plus. • Understanding of compliance requirements including SOC 2, HIPAA, and state cybersecurity regulations.
