Beschreibung

• Define and model best practices and set standards for behaviours, performance, and technical excellence across backend and infrastructure • Drive the development, reliability, and scalability of backend systems and infrastructure • Develop a coherent technology strategy aligned with organizational goals and product priorities • Align architectural decisions for key product initiatives with their objectives • Manage incidents and establish and measure service level objectives • Maintain and evolve recovery plans • Evolve application observability and monitoring • Implement and oversee backend quality assurance and security processes • Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure and resource allocation, particularly during peak periods such as Black Friday • Refine CI/CD and code review processes to improve productivity, efficiency, product quality, and security • Evaluate whether to switch from a worker-based approach to an event-driven approach • Pair with squad developers on day-to-day product work to share knowledge and practices • Contribute to technology and product initiatives • Troubleshoot unexpected issues affecting business operations • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to identify and communicate technical constraints • Influence the direction and success of ZigZag’s product and technology team

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experienced Senior Staff Engineer in backend and infrastructure • Deep experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure, ideally with GCP; Azure or AWS experience also considered • Very good understanding of Ruby and Ruby on Rails • Fluent in English • Strong French is advantageous • Expertise managing infrastructure with emphasis on scalability and reliability • Ability to calmly address incidents of various types and impacts • Strong willingness and ability to transmit knowledge • Curiosity and commitment to staying current with industry developments • Background working across multiple environments and products is a plus • Ability to navigate and optimize complex, distributed systems is a plus • Must already be living in the UK • Legal right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
