• Manage vendor relationships, cybersecurity procedures and policies for laboratory medical device instrumentation • Plan, organize and manage laboratory medical device instrumentation for IT projects • Perform database management related to laboratory applications • Analyze security, clinical, business and user needs • Maintain regulatory and documentation compliance • Define, design and modify specifications and processes for complex information systems • Investigate, track and resolve multi-level project, system and application errors • Design end-user training and application curricula • Facilitate initial rollout and ongoing user-community support • Create technical documents including process maps, business requirement documents, system diagrams, application maps, test plans and work instructions • Develop integrated testing scenarios and contribute to functional and integration testing plans • Coordinate change-management documentation and approvals according to departmental procedures and ITIL standards • Advise on technology-related process redesign opportunities • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, IT teams and committees • Participate in or lead taskforces, implementation activities, meetings and strategic planning sessions • Mentor junior department members and support continuous improvement • Track key performance indicators and define success measurements • Provide customer service and keep customers informed through issue resolution • Support company-wide functions across diverse areas and multiple states
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • Current valid clinical license, certification, or credential in state of practice • In-depth job-function knowledge normally gained through four to seven years of healthcare-environment experience • General knowledge of information technology and healthcare • Experience with medium-scale project planning and reporting, individually or as part of a team • Communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to communicate and interact across facilities and organizational levels • Mentoring skills for less experienced team members • LMDI specialization with Cerner Millennium Pathnet application experience • Knowledge of cybersecurity procedures and policies • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm Arizona time • Variable shifts, hours and pager response may be required • Must live in one of the listed eligible states
