Description

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Real Estate, and other designated operational business teams across North America • Provide timely, cost-effective legal counsel on regional and global matters • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on procurement, services, transportation, 3PL, warehousing, real estate, equipment, and vendor agreements • Advise on commercial transactions, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and due diligence • Manage vendor disputes, operational escalations, service failures, litigation strategy, disputes, and intellectual property issues • Manage day-to-day legal issues involving plant operations, logistics, asset management, and real estate • Anticipate, mitigate, and manage legal and operational risks • Support strategic transformation initiatives, operating model redesign, network transformation, and operational change programs • Develop and maintain supply-chain and procurement templates, playbooks, and approval structures • Advise on risk allocation involving continuity of supply, service levels, indemnities, insurance, pricing, and remedies • Streamline legal intake, triage, and contracting processes for recurring vendor work • Research evolving legal issues and provide pragmatic advice to senior leadership • Escalate significant legal, operational, financial, or enterprise-risk matters to the General Counsel

🎯 Exigences

• J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or Canada jurisdiction • Bachelor's Degree and qualification from an accredited law school • Significant in-house and law firm experience handling procurement, logistics, commercial operations, real estate and/or supply-chain transactions • Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting abilities in operationally complex environments • Experience supporting fast-paced operating environments, preferably in industrial, distribution, logistics, fleet, transportation, or equipment-based business • Strong judgment, executive presence, and ability to work cross-functionally with non-legal stakeholders • Strong cross-functional partnership skills and ability to advise business teams in a practical, solution-oriented manner • Experience creating or improving process and automation for legal services delivery is desirable • Experience working with digital technology such as AI tools and systems is desirable • Experience working in a global company is desirable • Experience working in matrixed environments is desirable • At least 8+ years post qualification experience • Essential English; Spanish desirable • Must be able to work autonomously • Knowledge of procurement contracting and dispute resolution practices • Strong analytical and technical legal skills, including drafting, negotiating, risk mitigation, and problem resolution
