Description

• Oversee first-line credit underwriting and portfolio management within assigned business lines • Manage underwriters and credit professionals, including Credit Products Specialists and Credit Products Analysts • Ensure accurate risk ratings, loan evaluation, underwriting, and ongoing portfolio management • Maintain visibility and knowledge of bank relationships within the assigned line of business • Execute strategic priorities set by credit, business, and risk leadership • Identify and escalate improvements to credit processes, policies, and procedures • Maintain credit quality through underwriting, portfolio management, and risk monitoring • Establish consistent credit decisioning and risk management practices across assigned regions and verticals • Attract, develop, retain, recruit, and train credit underwriting and portfolio management talent • Collaborate with Sales, Credit Products, Risk, legal, compliance, and technology teams • Serve as a key contact for deal flow assignment, credit risk reviews, and escalations • Use data-driven insights and analytics to identify emerging credit risks and opportunities • Work with legal documentation, internal and external legal counsel, and negotiate terms with clients • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk frameworks • Provide credit risk reporting, portfolio analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership • Perform special projects and continuous improvement and transformation initiatives • Complete required compliance trainings and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations

🎯 Exigences

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Business, Economics or related field and Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) (preferred) • 12+ years of 1st line of defense credit underwriting, portfolio management, and risk management experience within the Financial Industry, including credit strategy and credit analytics (preferred) • 5+ years of experience managing teams of credit analysts and underwriters in the specialty vertical • 5+ years of experience in the direct specialized line of business • Experience and expertise in credit bureaus, credit decision engines, credit and cash flow modeling, income/identity verification, and loss forecasting • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to credit decisions • For certain LOBs, strong working knowledge of the syndicated loan market and related processes • Proficiency in credit bureaus, credit decision engines, underwriting models, and portfolio management strategies • Experience in income/identity verification and risk assessment • Effective communication and presentation skills • Ability to translate credit analysis into actionable strategies and policies • Ability to incorporate industry knowledge and market trends into credit risk assessments and recommendations • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and execute tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Strong leadership and team development skills • No unusual physical exertion is involved
