Description

• Manage the entire transaction cycle, from identifying and qualifying new opportunities through negotiation and further development to successful completion • Identify and assess potential acquisition targets together with the Corporate Development team • Proactively identify new acquisition opportunities, arrange qualified meetings, and develop target companies along the M&A pipeline through signing • Build and maintain long-term, trusted relationships with existing and potential acquisition targets through in-person meetings, phone calls, and email communication • Carefully document activities, opportunities, and relevant information in Salesforce (CRM) • Identify and attend relevant conferences and industry events • Organize roadshows to generate leads and strengthen relationships with potential target companies • Support financial modeling, due diligence, and negotiations together with the M&A team, and manage the process through transaction closing • Develop investment theses based on analysis and present recommendations to the Investment Committee prior to investment • Clearly and persuasively communicate Harris’ investment philosophy, strategy, and value proposition to potential acquisition targets • Ensure that acquisition processes are managed professionally and efficiently, with trusted relationships at the center • Regular travel within Germany and the DACH region, increasingly also throughout Europe

🎯 Exigences

• Several years of relevant professional experience in M&A, financial due diligence, corporate development, business development, investment management, finance, general management, or a related field • Experience managing or supporting M&A transactions • Experience in operational leadership, for example as a General Manager or in a senior management role at an operating (software) company • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and commercial valuation skills • Demonstrated expertise in lead generation, business opportunity qualification, and relationship building • Experience in the software industry, particularly in the public sector, security, healthcare, or utilities, required • Confident communication with C-level executives and business owners • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills • Proactive, self-motivated, and independent working style • Business-fluent German and English • French language skills are an advantage but not required • Willingness and ability to travel regularly
