Description

• Work directly with senior leaders and client-facing colleagues to turn broad commercial questions into defined, decidable questions • Turn analytical answers into reusable products rather than one-off analyses • Own delivery of analytical products end to end, from initial conversations through production use • Lead development of reusable components, libraries, frameworks, templates and working practices • Build configurable, documented and maintainable products suitable for hand-off • Work within the firm's software development lifecycle and governance requirements • Help shape software development processes for a small product team • Support the technical development of colleagues, including reviewing their work • Maintain delivery momentum as priorities change

🎯 Exigences

• Consulting mindset and enjoyment of working across a wide variety of problems • Ability to help senior leaders and teams make better decisions using data, analytics and visualisation • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work effectively in a distributed team primarily collaborating over Teams • Ownership of decisions, actions and outputs • Comfort with uncertainty, speed and incomplete or ambiguous information • Ability to work in a fast-growing firm with evolving processes, systems and structures • Experience taking more than one analytical product from an incomplete brief through to sustained use • Experience building reusable analytical components used by colleagues • Experience supporting, changing and maintaining analytical products after release • Substantial experience building analytical products in Python • Real experience with many of Python, Shiny for Python, Quarto, git, Azure DevOps, Docker and Terraform, or close equivalents such as R, Shiny, tidyverse, Streamlit, Dash, or scientific and quantitative computing • Ability to build, read, write, debug and review code without AI coding agents • Experience of Employee Benefits, Pensions or Insurance is not required
