• Drive profitable growth and market development within the assigned territory through sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies • Provide leadership to a regional sales team and directly manage strategic customer relationships and business development activities • Develop and execute regional business plans supporting sales, profitability, and market share objectives • Establish regional sales targets and performance metrics • Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, customer needs, and industry trends • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the regional sales team • Conduct sales reviews, field coaching sessions, and performance evaluations • Develop and grow strategic accounts and relationships with growers, distributors, retailers, consultants, researchers, and industry stakeholders • Participate in industry meetings, trade shows, educational events, field demonstrations, and conferences • Prepare and manage the regional sales budget, revenue forecasts, operating expenses, and growth initiatives • Monitor performance and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts • Support credit management and collection efforts • Collaborate with Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Operations to maintain regional inventory levels • Maintain accurate sales records, customer information, and pipeline activities in CRM systems • Collaborate with national marketing on regional marketing programs and promotional activities • Support product launches, field trials, demonstrations, and educational initiatives • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, industry standards, and ethical practices • Travel approximately 25% overnight throughout the assigned region
• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading remote sales teams within the agricultural industry • Demonstrated success in sales leadership, market development, and customer relationship management • Proven experience developing business opportunities and driving revenue growth • Strong technical understanding of crop production systems and agricultural inputs • Advanced knowledge of agricultural production systems, crop management practices, soil health, plant nutrition, biological crop protection, biostimulants, and adjuvant technologies • Knowledge of sales management principles, market development strategies, territory management, and customer relationship management • Understanding of agricultural distribution channels, industry stakeholders, and market dynamics • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and business performance metrics • Working knowledge of CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook • Leadership, coaching, employee development, strategic planning, business development, consultative selling, negotiation, and account management skills • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills • Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret market and sales data • Financial planning, forecasting, and budget management skills • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and digital communication platforms • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and remote employees • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel • Ability to lift and move materials and product samples weighing up to 40 pounds • Ability to perform field visits in varying agricultural and outdoor environments • Preferred: advanced degree; experience with biological products, biostimulants, crop nutrition, crop protection, adjuvants, related technologies, CRM systems, and business intelligence tools
