Description

• Responsible for performing geoprocessing activities using different types of satellite imagery and software related to the collection, processing, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data, following the company’s methodologies and procedures. • Perform image classification and analysis activities for purposes such as land use and land cover mapping, change detection, thematic mapping, and others. • Analyze, edit, and digitize/vectorize geographic data. • Use Geographic Information System (GIS) tools and other company systems to carry out analyses and processing to generate geospatial information. • Produce information to populate spatial databases. • Assist in the preparation of manuals and documentation for geospatial processes. • Perform other related activities as directed by leadership.

🎯 Exigences

• Degree in Cartographic Engineering, Forest Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Technologist in Geoprocessing, Geography, Biology, or related fields. • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). • Experience in satellite image interpretation for land use and land cover classification. • Basic skills in digitizing/vectorization using QGIS or ArcGIS. • Basic knowledge of cartography, remote sensing, and geoprocessing. • Understanding of photointerpretation principles and image classification. • Basic knowledge of Brazilian biomes, including vegetation types and the socio-environmental dynamics of each. • Ability to manage recurring processes methodically, with precision and attention to detail. • Teamwork skills. • Analytical thinking and a commitment to continuous learning. • Adaptability and self-organization. • Proactivity and a results-oriented mindset.
