Description

• Own software projects and systems end-to-end, including server-side logic, infrastructure, client-side logic, and interfaces • Design, scope, and decompose complex features into implementation plans using AI-assisted development workflows • Guide AI agents as architect, reviewer, and decision-maker • Build scaffolding, project context, reusable skills, agent workflows, prompt frameworks, and automated quality checks for AI tools • Develop and optimize APIs, databases, UIs, design systems, and libraries in C# or JavaScript/TypeScript • Drive automated testing and verification for every feature before release • Review AI-generated output and validate security, maintainability, correctness, and sustainability • Improve AI-driven engineering workflows, tooling, agents, and team best practices • Create and maintain technical documentation • Resolve ambiguity and define scoped work • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, designers, and product experts in a cross-functional scrum team • Assist with feature scope and estimation, including cost and timeline estimates • Propose, prototype, and champion technologies and processes for integration solutions • Mentor software team members and foster knowledge sharing • Establish quality development patterns and practices • Communicate technical decisions and provide code-review feedback • Propose alternate designs to improve time-to-market or reduce cost and complexity • Explore and recommend technologies, patterns, and methods for technical and product roadmaps • Recommend standards for performance, usability, reliability, adaptability, security, legal, and operational requirements • Participate in evening, weekend, or holiday on-call rotation • Review work for quality and error prevention • Contribute to interviewing and selecting new team members • Support company values through positive interactions with internal and external stakeholders • Participate in strategic business initiatives and special cross-functional projects

🎯 Exigences

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (computer software, computer science, software development, etc.) or equivalent work experience • 8+ years of professional experience as a software developer in an agile product team • 5+ years working with .NET Framework and C# required • Typescript or JavaScript required • Hands-on experience delegating real implementation work to AI agents and reviewing and verifying delegated engineering output • Proven regular use of modern AI tools/agent tools including GitHub CoPilot and Claude Code or similar as standard practice in building software • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and code review • Evidence of building scaffolding around AI tools, such as custom agents, MCP servers, eval harnesses, or team/department enablement, strongly preferred • Exceptional judgment in evaluating AI-generated output and correcting ineffective solutions • Demonstrated experience with MSSQL and Entity Framework • Proficiency collaborating with UX designers to translate designs into working software • Proficiency creating and consuming RESTful APIs • Proficiency in unit testing, including comprehensive, maintainable, and efficient test cases • Experience working with cloud-native applications • Ability to participate in team on-call rotation during evenings, weekends, or holidays • Experience with hands-on technical training environments, virtual labs, or learning platforms highly desirable • Authentication (OIDC, OAuth, SAML), NextJS, ExpressJS, and building pipelines/DevOps practices appreciated but not strictly required • Self-motivation and ability to contribute with minimal supervision in a collaborative environment • Ability to adapt to dynamic project needs while maintaining quality and focus • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Skillable participates in E-Verify) • Primary residence must be in one of: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wisconsin • Remote home-office space supporting privacy and focus for frequent video and voice calls • Periodic travel may be required, up to approximately 10% of the time
