Description

• Collaborate with key banking partners throughout the UK, Europe, and Stripe’s global partner network • Develop and deliver solutions supporting Stripe’s Global Payments and Treasury Network • Support domestic and international payments, secure fund storage, yield on funds, and multi-currency fund flows • Lead activities that enhance risk management interactions between Stripe and its partners • Manage key aspects of partner relationships and execute high-impact initiatives • Coordinate objectives, priorities, and execution with internal and external stakeholders • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Risk, Fraud, Financial Crime & Supportability, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams • Work with partners’ Risk & Compliance teams, including senior management • Lead risk-focused initiatives with banks, networks, and payment methods • Foster new business opportunities and user verticals • Innovate on shared risk methodologies and maintain compliance with agreed risk appetites • Oversee the health of relationships with key risk counterparts at partner banks • Develop and manage risk-related projects and initiatives • Deliver business and policy recommendations informing Stripe’s risk posture • Represent and negotiate Stripe’s risk approach with banking partners • Enhance existing and develop new partner-facing risk management capabilities • Lead risk-related partnership and product discussions • Identify and pursue business opportunities through innovative risk-aware solutions

🎯 Exigences

• 10+ years experience in a risk-related role at a bank or fintech • Experience with products and services enabling domestic and international payments, secure fund storage, yield on funds, and multi-currency fund flows • Deep knowledge and experience working with bank payment schemes and networks, including FPS, BACS, SEPA, ACH, and local equivalents • Deep knowledge of risk and compliance issues • First-hand experience in risk management at a bank or fintech • Ability to represent Stripe on risk, compliance, and product issues with banking partners • Strong organizational, planning, and written and verbal communication skills • Strong stakeholder management skills, including negotiating timelines and influencing stakeholders across organizations and borders • Curiosity and a partnership mindset focused on improving processes and scaling solutions • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to thrive in uncertain and ambiguous environments • Preferred: Experience with financial crime programs including KYC/B, AML, sanctions, and terrorist financing • Preferred: Practical knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering regulations • Preferred: Deep understanding of domestic and international payment schemes, including FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, ACH, and wire • Preferred: Understanding of cross-border payment risks and high-risk sectors • Preferred: Market experience across the UK and Europe, including the impact of current and future regulations • Preferred: Experience leveraging technology to develop and embed scalable risk and operational processes
