Description

• Define and own the Wiley Research analytics strategy, priorities, roadmap, and alignment with executive strategic priorities • Deliver advanced commercial analysis identifying growth opportunities, retention risks, and underperformance • Build the Research analytics function and activate, recruit, and develop analytical talent • Lead competitive intelligence and market analysis using external data, industry trends, and internal commercial performance data • Translate complex analytical findings into concise narratives for executives and board-level stakeholders • Evolve and standardize the Research KPI framework • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and performance reporting across regions, teams, products, and customer segments • Deliver scenario modelling, competitive benchmarking, and quantitative analysis for commercial strategy • Drive adoption of data-driven commercial decision-making throughout Research • Ensure globally consistent definitions, metrics, and performance standards • Drive commercial data governance, data quality, reporting integrity, and a trusted commercial single source of truth • Identify fragmented or duplicated data sources and establish data ownership standards • Partner with Business Analytics & Operations, Enablement, Technology & Operations, and Finance on data infrastructure, revenue reporting, forecasting, and performance measurement • Drive reporting workflow efficiency, automation, and self-service reporting • Collaborate with Publishing, Marketing, Sales, Product, and Strategy teams on cross-functional commercial insights • Advise Research and Executive Leadership on commercial trends, strategic opportunities, and operational risks • Build partnerships with data-generating teams to access and validate siloed data • Represent analytics in Research leadership forums • Mentor and develop analytical talent and build a community of practice

🎯 Exigences

• 12+ years of progressive experience in commercial analytics, business analytics, strategy, or business intelligence • Track record of building decision-support functions and influencing senior commercial leadership • Experience leading or building a commercial analytics function • Experience establishing KPI frameworks and developing executive dashboards • Experience building or significantly elevating an analytics function in a complex organizational environment • Deep expertise in commercial performance measurement, KPI design, and competitive intelligence • Experience translating analytical output into executive decision-making • Experience partnering with Finance on revenue reporting and forecasting methodologies • Financial modelling, revenue analysis, and business scenario planning experience • Experience navigating distributed data ownership and driving data governance improvements without formal authority • Exceptional communication and executive presence • Ability to produce board-quality commercial insights and adapt analytical narratives to senior audiences • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across functions without direct authority • Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, BigQuery, Power BI, or equivalent • High tolerance for ambiguity and bias toward action • Experience working across multiple geographies and time zones in a global enterprise • Preferred: experience in scholarly or academic publishing, information services, media, or technology undergoing digital transformation • Preferred: familiarity with open access, society publishing models, or research information ecosystems • Preferred: experience with AI-augmented analytics tools • Preferred: experience building an analytics function without prior data infrastructure
