📋 Description

• Shape the organisation's technical strategy and innovation efforts • Set direction and ensure consistent execution of technical decisions • Align software architecture closely with product management and product direction • Lead architectural direction for scalable, maintainable, state-of-the-art solutions • Translate business requirements into technical solutions • Resolve deep technical challenges with urgency and precision • Mentor and challenge engineers to accelerate professional growth • Build and scale a high-performance technology organisation and engineering culture • Embed security and reliability as direct customer value • Architect systems and APIs for AI agents as first-class users, with machine-readable contracts and structured errors • Drive organisational transformation to agentic engineering while maintaining human accountability • Work with cloud, infrastructure, messaging, IoT, data, observability, programming language, DevOps, and collaboration technologies • Report directly to the CTO

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of extensive hands-on software development experience • Experience with multiple general-purpose programming languages • Proven track record architecting scalable and secure systems • Strong commitment to quality • Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs • Agile and result-oriented mindset • Ability to collaborate effectively in teams • Experience communicating with stakeholders in business terms and understanding technical implications • Industry-leading experience driving cross-functional teams and enforcing engineering alignment in fast-paced environments • Experience making and following through on critical technical decisions • Experience designing systems and APIs for agent consumption, with structured errors and clear contracts enabling self-correction • Capability to guide an engineering team through a shift to agentic engineering • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • German proficiency considered a plus
