• Carry out routine maintenances, repairs and commissioning on LV and MV variable speed drives at customer sites across the UK. • Assist in commissioning of new and upgraded drives. • Provide routine technical maintenance in accordance with ABB’s bespoke maintenance schedules. • Conduct fault finding and repair activities at customers’ sites. • Participate on a 24/7 on-call system providing emergency response to ABB’s contract customers. • Involvement in longer term projects delivering upgrades and new systems, which may be in the UK and potentially offshore.
• Technical training or experience in Electrical Engineering. • Industrial background. • Highly motivated individual. • Willingness to learn and progress both in the classroom and in the field. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Fault finding experience on electrical equipment. • Previous experience working with Variable Speed Drives. • Field Service Engineer Background. • Full UK driving license required.
