📋 Description

• Define and champion an enterprise-wide people strategy aligned with AbbVie's business priorities, workforce needs, and long-term People Experience vision • Translate workforce trends, competitive intelligence, and organizational data into strategic direction • Partner with the VP of People Experience and PE Leadership Team to set the multi-year strategic agenda • Lead AbbVie's People Branding strategy and employee value proposition storytelling globally • Build storytelling capabilities and communicate the impact of People programs to employees, candidates, leaders, and external stakeholders • Own the HR strategy planning cycle and annual prioritization process • Drive tradeoff decisions, resource allocation, and strategic KPI tracking • Lead integrated planning and budgeting for the People Experience organization • Develop multi-year investment roadmaps and improve budget forecasting and accountability • Provide executive leadership for HR Technology strategy, core HR platforms such as Workday, emerging technologies, AI, and automation • Partner with IT and digital transformation leaders to scale HR technology solutions • Oversee the HR Chief of Staff function and support strategic clarity, operational discipline, and integrated execution • Own the HR Global Portfolio and provide executive visibility into initiatives, projects, and change efforts • Report portfolio health, risks, and outcomes to senior HR leadership and executive stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field • Progressive HR leadership experience with significant scope across strategy, technology, and operational transformation • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale HR strategy, planning, and/or HR technology programs in a large, complex, global organization • Deep expertise in at least two of: HR strategy, HR technology, change management, PMO, or people branding • Ability to translate vision into executable strategy and drive transformational change across matrixed, global organizations • Strong executive presence and ability to influence and align senior leaders, including C-suite stakeholders • Experience building, developing, and inspiring high-performing, diverse teams across multiple functional disciplines • Preferred: advanced degree (MBA or Master's in HR, Organizational Psychology, or related field) • Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry • Preferred: experience leading HR technology transformations, including Workday implementations or AI-enabled HR platforms • Preferred: prior Chief of Staff, Head of HR Strategy, or enterprise transformation leadership experience • Preferred: familiarity with global workforce planning, portfolio management methodologies such as Agile or SAFe, and organizational design principles
