📋 Description

• Meet applicants face to face physically and/or virtually • Review available medical evidence to determine the permanence of an applicant’s condition and percentage disablement • Proactively seek further medical evidence from GPs, healthcare professionals, or services • Gather relevant information from applicants and/or representatives • Analyse and interpret clinical information and supporting evidence • Compile comprehensive, professional, and concise reports with detailed history, justification, and conclusions • Support the Victims’ Payments Board in decision-making • Complete a seven-week training programme and ongoing self-development learning • Participate in close mentorship and ongoing professional development • Work contracted hours between 30 and 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, within 8am–8pm working patterns

🎯 Requirements

• Fully registered medical practitioner, such as a psychologist, registered nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience • Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the GMC, NMC, or HCPC, with a valid PIN • Valid full driving licence and access to a car • Demonstrable background in a Mental Health/Psychiatric speciality • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales • Ability to relate to people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions, and cultures • Report writing skills and ability to use a laptop and IT systems extensively • Strong analytical skills • Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Successful completion of government Baseline Personnel Security Standard vetting and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) • Enhanced criminality check required for regulated activity involving children or vulnerable adults • Must reside in Northern Ireland
