📋 Description

• Meet applicants face to face physically and/or virtually • Review available medical evidence to determine the permanence of an applicant’s condition and percentage disablement • Proactively seek further medical evidence from GPs, healthcare professionals or services • Gather relevant information from applicants and/or representatives • Analyse and interpret clinical information and supporting evidence • Compile comprehensive, professional and concise reports with detailed histories, justification and conclusions • Support the Victims’ Payments Board (VPB) in decision-making • Complete a 7-week Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm training programme • Participate in self-development learning and ongoing development supported by close mentorship • Work contracted hours between 30 and 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, within 8am-8pm • Provide at least four weeks’ notice of rota changes where possible

🎯 Requirements

• Fully registered medical practitioner such as a psychologist, registered nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience • Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the GMC/NMC/HCPC and holding a valid PIN • Valid full driving licence and access to a car • Demonstrable background in a Mental Health / Psychiatric speciality • Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations and keep to timescales • Ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions and cultures • Report writing skills • Ability to work extensively with laptops and IT systems • Strong analytical skills • Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint • Successful completion of government baseline personnel security standard vetting and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) • Enhanced criminality check required due to regulated activity relating to children or vulnerable adults • Must reside in Northern Ireland
