📋 Description

• Lead and provide direction and oversight to up to 10 teams of Functional Specialists • Support the Head of Operations and wider leadership team in delivering an efficient end-to-end service • Lead a distributed healthcare team delivering service to the DWP claimant community across Midlands and Wales regional areas • Ensure contractual targets and performance levels are met or exceeded • Manage budgets, financial targets, and delivery against the business plan • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams • Act as subject matter expert and key lead for Enhancements Project initiatives • Develop and implement recovery plans for performance shortfalls or operational issues • Identify, assess, and manage business risks and regulatory compliance • Own the people agenda, including recruitment, training, talent management, engagement, performance improvement, and succession planning • Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards • Ensure compliance with government procedures and policies in line with PIPAG • Make operational decisions and provide leadership and direction • Monitor and improve client and employee Net Promoter Scores

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in operations management • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior operational role • Experience managing large teams and complex projects • Proven ability to lead teams, improve performance, and achieve strategic objectives • Demonstrated project and change-management experience, delivering on time, within scope, and within budget • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial performance analysis, and business planning • Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills • Experience identifying, assessing, and managing business risks • Track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement • Knowledge of health and safety standards and practices • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Strong operational decision-making skills • Experience monitoring and enhancing client and employee NPS • Problem-solving ability focused on client satisfaction and contract delivery • Flexibility and adaptability to changes in the customer service landscape • Familiarity with digital tools and platforms • In-depth understanding of the Personal Independence Payment assessment process and relevant government policies and procedures, including PIPAG desirable
