📋 Description

• Deliver cutting-edge analytical solutions for customers worldwide • Build reliable data platforms that support AI • Gather requirements and provide client consulting • Design and implement data engineering solutions using Azure, Spark, Python, SQL, orchestration, data lake, governance, and infrastructure-as-code technologies • Apply ETL approaches focused on data quality, resilience, and observability • Work within agile projects and follow CI/CD methodologies and SDLC practices • Share knowledge internally and with the wider data community • Collaborate within a small, inclusive, cross-functional team • Visit customers and the team occasionally • Contribute to community events through organising, speaking, mentoring, blogging, or sponsorship

🎯 Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud computing concepts • Experience with Apache Spark, including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or another Spark engine • Proficiency in Python • Ability to write complex, high-performance SQL queries and understand query execution across compute technologies • Experience with Azure Data Factory or other cloud orchestration tools • Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage and Delta Lake • Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Purview, or other data governance tools • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Azure DevOps • Requirements gathering and client consulting skills • Agile project management knowledge • Understanding of object-oriented development practices • Knowledge of ETL approaches, including data quality, resilience, and observability • Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and SDLC • Ability to work in an agile environment and balance technical expertise with pragmatic project needs • Technical passion, honesty, empathy, and commitment to sharing knowledge • Must be based within the UK • Occasional visits to customers and the team
