📋 Description

• Deliver bleeding-edge analytical solutions for customers worldwide • Build AI solutions on solid, reliable data platforms • Lead projects while seeing the end-to-end solution • Balance technical expertise with pragmatic project needs in an agile environment • Gather requirements and provide client consulting • Apply ETL approaches focused on data quality, resilience and observability • Collaborate within a small, inclusive and knowledge-sharing team • Share knowledge, skills and expertise internally and with the wider data community • Maintain and develop expertise across Microsoft, Databricks, AWS, Sigma, Tabular Editor and dbt Labs technologies • Participate in industry events and the wider data and AI community

🎯 Requirements

• Must be based within the UK • Good understanding of the core technology stack and ability to see the end-to-end solution whilst leading a project • Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud computing concepts • Experience with Apache Spark, including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or another Spark engine • Python proficiency • SQL proficiency, including writing complex high-performance queries and understanding query execution on different compute technologies • Experience with Azure Data Factory or other cloud orchestration tools • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage and Delta Lake • Experience with Unity Catalog, Purview or other data governance tools • Experience with an IaC tool such as Terraform or Azure DevOps • Requirements gathering and client consulting • Agile project management • Understanding of object-oriented development practices • ETL approaches, including data quality, resilience and observability • Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and SDLC • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Azure Stream Analytics, Event Hubs, IoT Hubs, distributed compute engines, or Azure Functions is beneficial but not essential
