📋 Description

• Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate to ensure timely delivery • Collaborate with product management, design and analytics during ideation and technical decision-making • Articulate technical constraints and evaluate risks and trade-offs • Create and monitor metrics for team artifacts and escalate issues when needed • Support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on activities and on-call efforts • Participate in growth and development activities, including interviews • Build and operate systems handling post-transaction customer account accuracy and issue resolution for Affirm Card transactions • Collaborate with product, compliance and cross-functional partner teams to improve customer-facing outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems • Proficiency in Python or Kotlin • Familiarity with distributed systems building blocks • Familiarity with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes • Ability to design solutions interacting with multiple software components • Ability to write clear, well-tested and extensible code • Ability to navigate a large codebase and debug others' code • Experience providing feedback through code reviews • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
