📋 Description

• Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of information systems supporting core organizational functions • Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize networked software and associated operating systems • Collaborate with infrastructure staff to ensure reliable operation of software and systems • Define business requirements and systems goals with executives, decision makers, and stakeholders • Identify and resolve business systems issues • Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems • Perform cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed systems • Research software and systems products and support purchasing recommendations • Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for system-related products and services • Provide operational support for integration and M&A activities • Evaluate system effectiveness and efficiency and implement improvement strategies • Create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts • Design and perform server and security audits, backup procedures, and recovery processes • Integrate database, email, print, and backup servers and associated software into enterprise systems • Ensure connectivity of servers, shared software, groupware, and applications • Maintain system configuration, mapping, process, and service documentation • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems • Coordinate and perform in-depth testing, including end-user reviews • Monitor and test system performance and deliver performance statistics and reports • Provide orientation and training to end users • Mentor and guide System Engineers • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ten (10) or more years of System Engineering experience • Proven experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Good project management skills • Ability to research systems issues and products as required • Ability to communicate ideas in technical and user-friendly language • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
