📋 Description

• Carry out statutory inspections of lifts, cranes, lifting equipment, materials handling equipment and associated plant across customer sites • Provide expert engineering guidance supporting safe and compliant operations • Work independently across an allocated area • Build and maintain strong customer relationships • Manage an individual inspection schedule • Work with experienced Engineer Surveyors and Team Leaders • Participate in ongoing technical development, induction and training • Conduct inspections across industrial, commercial and construction environments • Work at height and access operational settings where required

🎯 Requirements

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in a mechanical engineering related discipline • Practical engineering experience working with lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment, lifting equipment or similar mechanical plant • Experience gained within maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, installation, testing or inspection environments • Full UK driving license • Effective organisational and time-management skills • Good verbal and written communication skills • Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems • Passionate about engineering and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality • Customer focused with the ability to build strong professional relationships • Able to work independently and effectively manage your own workload and priorities • A practical problem solver who can make sound decisions in a variety of situations • Confident communicating technical information clearly, both verbally and in writing • Organised, self-motivated and adaptable in a field-based environment • Able to visit customer sites and carry out inspections in a range of working environments • Committed to continuously developing knowledge and expertise within engineering inspection • Previous experience working as an Engineer Surveyor (desirable) • Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and associated lifting equipment legislation, regulations and industry standards (desirable) • Experience carrying out statutory inspections, thorough examinations or compliance assessments (desirable) • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or working towards professional registration (desirable) • Experience across a broad range of lifting equipment, cranes, materials handling equipment or other industrial plant (desirable) • Understanding of lifting operations, crane systems, passenger and goods lifts, hoists or construction plant (desirable) • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage (desirable)
