📋 Description

• Develop and provide risk engineering consulting services to internal and external clients in the Power sector • Support Aon's power and energy client base • Lead client relationships, develop opportunities and deliver client consultancy services • Conduct underwriting surveys at client premises and prepare insurance market reports • Develop and provide training seminars, workshops, technical support and advice • Build and manage relationships with Aon practice groups to identify and develop worldwide business opportunities • Collaborate with broking colleagues to support placement of client insurance programmes • Represent ANRE in RFPs and sales presentations to prospects and markets • Build and maintain relationships with the London and international energy insurance engineering community • Support service, practice and product innovation programmes, including data analytics • Identify and evaluate project risks throughout the project lifecycle and propose technical solutions • Collaborate with engineers globally and contribute to industry-leading technical procedures • Act as internal point of reference for engineering aspects of the transition to a low-carbon economy

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience working in power generation (conventional or renewable) or electricity transmission for a technical consultancy and/or asset operator • University degree in an appropriate subject area, likely Mechanical or Electrical Engineering • Chartered Engineer and member of an engineering institution, or working towards this • Ability to produce written reports to quality standards, templates and within deadlines • Good interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation • Good presentational skills • Ability to work independently or as part of a team • Ability to self-organize to deliver services and reports to company standards within agreed timescales • Willingness to undertake about 80 days of national and/or international travel per year • Flexibility and willingness to operate outside previous experience • Fluent spoken and written English • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development • Preferred: located within easy traveling distance of Aon's London Headquarters in the City of London • Preferred: experience across a range of technologies and disciplines • Preferred: experience of working in different countries • Preferred: fluency in a second language
