📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of customers' monthly payroll operations from start to finish • Ensure all staff are paid correctly and within specified deadlines • Update the payroll system with current pay scales, pension rates, NI rates, and tax thresholds • Calculate pay adjustments, including holiday pay for leavers and statutory payments (maternity, paternity, etc.) • Ensure accurate payments and reporting to external stakeholders, including HMRC • Maintain strict compliance with GDPR and ISO27001 data protection standards

🎯 Requirements

• Educated to degree level and/or holds a relevant payroll qualification • Previous experience in payroll processing • Solid understanding of HMRC requirements, including Tax, NI, and statutory deductions • Experience with Auto Enrolment pension schemes • Proficiency in Google Suite • Ability to analyse and interpret data • Proactivity in utilising AI to enhance the job • High attention to detail • Ability to multi-task under pressure • Knowledge of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) is desirable • Education sector experience is a bonus
