• Prepares proposals to meet coverage requirements for agents/brokers’ risks. • Provides advice and recommendations to Producers and agents/brokers. • Consults with agents/brokers to evaluate their needs and determine appropriate coverage. • Negotiates policy terms and coverage with the carrier and agent/broker. • Sets up policy files within established format. • Reviews policies for accuracy. • Enters and maintains data in AMS360 computer system. • Sets up and maintains policy renewal system. • Submits claims and policy changes. • Invoices premium in management system for payments and collections. • Submits all surplus lines filing requests to appropriate parties. • Develops and maintains positive relationships by meeting with brokers.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least two to five years of commercial insurance or managing general agency experience. • Property and Casualty Insurance License preferred (required within 90 days of hire). • Understanding of general insurance processing functions. • Broad understanding of insurance policy, forms, and applications. • Knowledge of multi-line Property and Casualty coverage and products. • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks in required timeframes. • Excellent customer service skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • High level of motivation to achieve necessary involvement within a team. • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision. • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
