📋 Description

• Define and drive the architecture, technical strategy, and engineering roadmap for Billing & Fees services • Architect and build services for fee policy configuration, fee calculation, invoice generation, billing adjustments, and reconciliation • Design data pipelines and integrations connecting Snowflake, Salesforce, Ledger, and internal financial services • Establish patterns for financial correctness, idempotency, traceability, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit trails • Lead technical design submissions, architecture reviews, and service design • Design and review production code, mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and unblock complex challenges • Collaborate with Product, Finance, Commercial, Back Office, Ledger, Digital Assets, and Fiat teams • Establish observability, monitoring, performance, incident response, and operational resilience standards • Set expectations for testing, CI/CD, documentation, and technical debt management

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience • Strong hands-on expertise in Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot • Experience leading technical initiatives or providing technical leadership to other engineers • Experience designing and delivering complex, distributed, production-grade systems • Understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS), relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and Redis • Experience working on financially sensitive systems such as billing, invoicing, payments, ledger, fee calculation, or reconciliation platforms • Expertise in domain-driven design, hexagonal architecture, service decomposition, bounded contexts, and asynchronous communication patterns • Ability to own technical architecture and drive engineering decisions • Strong RESTful API design experience, including backwards compatibility and integration patterns • Understanding of transactional consistency, idempotency, error recovery, and reconciliation in distributed environments • Experience mentoring and guiding engineers • Experience operating business-critical systems, participating in on-call rotations, managing incidents, and using Grafana, Prometheus, and Micrometer • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Commercial teams • Comfortable working as both a hands-on engineer and technical leader
