📋 Description

• Connect Arden University's core business systems through reliable, secure and scalable middleware solutions • Design and deliver integrations supporting complex business requirements • Improve business processes and enable technology platforms to work seamlessly together • Take responsibility for the performance and reliability of middleware services in production • Ensure integrations meet security, compliance and technical standards • Work closely with development teams, product managers and stakeholders across the University • Contribute to a well-connected technology environment and Arden's ongoing digital development

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns and architecture • Proficiency in developing and debugging applications using TypeScript and Node.js • Strong working knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, S3, DynamoDB, IAM and CloudWatch • Experience designing and developing robust, scalable serverless applications and event-driven architectures • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Experience integrating with managed databases • Understanding of unit testing, integration testing and automated testing frameworks • Experience using monitoring, logging and observability tools • Relevant cloud certifications, particularly AWS Associate or Professional-level qualifications, or equivalent Azure or GCP certifications (desirable) • Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (desirable) • Experience with PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 (desirable) • Experience working in Agile environments, including sprint planning, release management and incremental software delivery (desirable) • Practical experience with Azure integration services, including Service Bus, Logic Apps, Function Apps and API Management (desirable) • Knowledge of GCP integration services and event-driven architectures, including Pub/Sub, and API management platforms such as Apigee (desirable) • Ability to work in the United Kingdom; Arden cannot sponsor skilled worker visas for this role
