📋 Description

• Lead and develop analysis on real economy and financial policy to drive the global net zero and resilient transition • Proactively monitor and analyse critical policy initiatives in Climate Bonds’ strategic markets • Draft reports, briefings, presentations, and blogs • Draft briefings for the Climate Bonds CEO and senior executives • Act as a point of contact, subject-matter expert, and thought leader for the Global Policy Team • Represent the Global Policy Team with regional and project teams • Coordinate policy work across the organization, enabling consistency and quality and fostering communications and learning • Contribute to management of Climate Bonds’ internal cross-team policy network of analysts • Support advocacy and influence work and represent the organization externally • Maintain and regularly engage with internal and external stakeholder networks • Contribute to team growth by identifying opportunities, contributing to project proposals, and pitching new ideas • Potentially manage research assistants conditional on team growth • Report to the Global Policy Lead

🎯 Requirements

• Self-starter, motivated and ambitious, willing to grow within the team and support its expansion • Ability to function with minimal supervision and adapt to rapidly changing environments • Excellent analytical and drafting skills • Strong communication skills • Ability to function in diverse, remote and multi-cultural teams • At least three years of work experience in a policy role in sustainable finance, climate transition, or climate resilience • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline – policy, economics, finance, or environment • Knowledge of the relevant global policy landscape and policy context in one or more regions • Ability to identify and analyse events that shape policy developments • Understanding of financial markets, with a focus on debt markets, and how they can contribute to financing the transition to net zero • Good command of Climate Bonds’ mission • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is desirable; relevant experience will be considered as equivalent • Policy experience at both global level and different regional levels is desirable • Briefing experience is desirable • Project management experience is desirable • Additional language skills beyond English are desirable
