📋 Description

• Manage, coordinate and develop Major Accounts within Commercial Risk Control for CNA Hardy • Ensure effective implementation of strategic and operational objectives for Major Accounts in Risk Control, in accordance with CNA Hardy’s Commercial strategic plans • Report to the Commercial European Field Leader • Work with National Accounts Property, National Accounts Casualty and Construction teams to conduct, review and/or direct evaluation and assessment of high hazard complex risks • Apply Risk Control policies, guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and drive resolution of critical risk control matters • Develop and enhance the Major Account proposition • Manage the lifecycle of Major Accounts from a Risk Control perspective using a “cradle to grave” approach • Develop propositions and deliver bespoke products to Major Accounts • Prepare account-level desktop risk reports using internal and external reports, publicly available information and data evaluation tools, including loss scenario estimates where applicable • Coordinate and complete physical risk surveys and produce comprehensive written risk assessment reports • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners, improving CNA Hardy’s brand in its markets • Support the Commercial business with technical expertise and promote organisational learning and team skill development • Liaise with Claims, providing technical guidance and loss mitigation strategies • Work with the established Commercial Underwriting team in a fast-paced environment • Represent CNA Hardy Risk Control on external committees when assigned • Maintain up-to-date technical competency on Commercial Risk Control issues and regulations, industry activity and trends

🎯 Requirements

• Senior level technical and business management acumen, with knowledge of insurance, risk control / risk engineering principles, practices and procedures • Demonstrated success as a risk control professional managing large, high hazard complex, and high profile accounts • In depth property, casualty and construction risk assessment expertise, including knowledge of national and international applicable codes and standards • Account management experience, including account lifecycle design, proposition development, management of budgets, management of bursaries, prioritisation of group risk improvements, understanding of operational and capital expenditures programmes and preparation of annual stewardship reports • Excellent communication, negotiation, marketing and presentation skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects • Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and issues • Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems • Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software • Proficient time management skills and ability to prioritise various tasks • Bachelor’s Degree / Master's degree in safety, health, industry engineering or related discipline or equivalent • Typically minimum of five to eight years of risk control experience • Ideally experience of national or international Major Account insurance works in Property, Casualty and Construction • One or more professional designations preferred • Detailed knowledge of sprinkler standards desirable
