📋 Description
• Coordinate responses to SEND tribunal appeals, including preparing legal documentation and gathering evidence • Represent the local authority at tribunal hearings • Arrange and support mediation meetings between families and the local authority • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, tribunal procedures, and statutory timelines • Liaise with parents/carers, legal representatives, schools, and internal teams to manage disputes • Provide expert advice to colleagues on tribunal and mediation processes • Maintain accurate records of cases and outcomes, contributing to service improvement
🎯 Requirements
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and tribunal procedures • Experience working in a Local Authority is essential • Experience with SEN assessment and review processes is essential • General education qualification is required • Basic DBS check is required • Valid driving license is required • 37 hours per week • Available for a 2–3 month contract
