📋 Description

• Build features for the Aetna Health website using a modern microfrontend architecture • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and design teams to deliver new features • Refactor existing code to improve application stability and scalability • Design, develop, and implement digital solutions and software systems • Architect and code software applications • Conduct system testing and debugging • Contribute to the technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects • Contribute code and tests according to product and engineering criteria • Monitor, troubleshoot, and support the application in production • Enhance application stability, performance, maintainability, and extensibility • Lead discussions by communicating technical ideas to non-technical individuals • Participate in software architecture design • Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability • Participate in code reviews, tech talks, workshops, and knowledge sharing • Guide and mentor junior developers

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with modern web frameworks, including ReactJS and Redux • 3+ years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs • 2+ years of experience building or working within a microfrontend architecture, such as Module Federation • Experience writing unit and integration tests • Experience with GraphQL and Apollo Client • Experience with Jest, Vitest, Playwright, and automated accessibility testing such as axe-core or jest-axe • Experience developing or consuming a component library or design system, such as Storybook • Familiarity with AWS, New Relic, LaunchDarkly, or a headless CMS such as Contentful • Experience translating large features into software design • Knowledge of GitHub Actions • Experience with AI-assisted development using Claude Code and the Claude API, including authoring custom skills, subagents, hooks, and MCP servers • Experience with TypeScript is a plus • Familiarity with Agile software development principles • Passion for upholding code standards and software quality • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience consisting of a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience • Ability to work 40 hours per week
