📋 Description

• Own product features and medium to large customer problems end to end, from shaping the problem through production • Ship solutions that deliver customer value and make pragmatic trade-offs • Ask insightful questions about customers, product value, and market fit to inform product and engineering decisions • Use AI tools across the development lifecycle with considered judgment • Keep code and architecture simple; identify and correct unnecessary complexity and sloppy abstractions • Work closely with product, engineering, design, and science colleagues in a small autonomous squad • Review code generously, mentor engineers, and leave things better than found • Participate in regular hackdays and team learning

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; or equivalent experience in software development • Strong experience in Python or similar modern programming language • Experience with relational databases • Proactive and self-driven • Curious, and you back your assumptions with data • Great written and verbal communication skills • Fluent using AI tools in the SDLC • Commitment to self growth & care • Experience mentoring/coaching other engineers • Must be based in and have unrestricted right to work in the UK • Bonus: Strong experience in Python, Django, and Django REST framework • Bonus: Frontend experience with TypeScript and React • Bonus: Strong understanding of software engineering principles, distributed system design, and taking software to production • Bonus: Experience developing and maintaining fast, scalable and well-documented APIs • Bonus: Good experience designing data models for relational databases
