📋 Description

• Assess clients’ security postures and conduct cyber risk assessments • Understand clients’ businesses and help improve their cybersecurity decisions and posture • Collaborate with clients using internally developed methods, industry practices and open-source tools • Work with senior business leaders, security and IT teams, non-technical teams and board members • Identify what needs protecting, prioritise it, and understand operational consequences of cyber risk events • Lead interviews and workshops when required • Analyse collected data and develop patterns, insights and recommendations • Communicate findings and recommendations using realistic, pragmatic and sustainable solutions • Manage exceptions and influence clients and stakeholders • Work autonomously and lead smaller projects and individual tasks • Keep clients up to date • Travel to client sites for meetings and workshops • Contribute to internal tools, processes and open-source projects • Raise awareness of company services and help propose new services to clients • Reverse-mentor colleagues • Spend five days annually on pro-bono engagements through Cydea x Good Causes • Contribute to open-source projects through cydea.tools

🎯 Requirements

• A couple of years of experience • Aptitude for consulting • Willingness to learn on the job • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form • Ability to assess security postures and conduct cyber risk assessments • Ability to listen to clients and ask questions before making assumptions • Problem-solving ability, including breaking challenges into manageable parts • Ability to document assumptions and estimates • Ability to lead interviews and workshops, analyse collected data, and identify patterns and insights • Ability to develop recommendations and communicate findings effectively • Ability to manage exceptions and influence clients and stakeholders • Ability to work autonomously and lead smaller projects and individual tasks • Cybersecurity knowledge and aptitude; extensive certifications are not required • Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and meetings in the South East • UK-based residence
