• Provide excellent support to customers while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospitals and laboratory environments • Complete fault diagnosis, repairs, preventative maintenance, modifications, installations and decommissions of diagnostic medical equipment • Service Immunoassay, Chemistry and Haematology diagnostic analysers and automated track systems • Represent Beckman Coulter on site and deliver a professional, customer-focused service • Ensure equipment is maintained to the highest safety and performance standards • Partner with customers to resolve technical issues and maximize instrument usage • Develop knowledge of the industry, company, products and team through a clear personal Development Plan • Report to the Field Technical Service Manager as part of the UK Field Service team
• Field Service experience in a laboratory setting, or comparable environment, servicing diagnostic instrumentation • Strong troubleshooting communication skills with proven experience delivering outstanding customer-focused service • Relevant qualification, such as BSc, HND or HNC, in Biomedical Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent • Ability to travel to customer sites up to 100% of the time • A full UK driver’s license • Ability to participate on a planned on-call rota to provide out-of-hours remote customer support as required • Previous experience with instrumentation software and firmware modifications and upgrades is a plus • Experience using service reporting software is a plus • Knowledge of medical device regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
