📋 Description

• Design and ship integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs • Handle authentication, incremental synchronization, rate limits, error handling and schema drift • Invest in the Integrations Framework, testing harnesses and scaffolding • Use AI daily across codebase and API exploration, prototyping, code generation and review, debugging, testing and documentation • Build customer interfaces for connecting, configuring and monitoring integrations • Provide health and status visibility, actionable error states, credential and key rotation, and feedback requiring attention • Design self-service backfills, reconnects and diagnostics for customers and internal teams • Build capabilities that are fully available through APIs as well as the UI • Implement features end-to-end from proposal through specification, implementation and maintenance • Propose valuable product additions proactively

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, shipping and owning features in production • Strong TypeScript, including modern frontend work - React preferred • Hands-on experience with Go, or strong backend experience in another language (Python, Java, Node.js, C#) with genuine enthusiasm for ramping up in Go quickly • Real experience designing and consuming REST APIs, and integrating third-party APIs with auth flows, pagination, rate limits, partial failures, and breaking changes • Comfortable across the stack; able to own a feature from the database through to the interface • Working proficiency in SQL • Experience developing solutions in the cloud and/or using cloud services (GCP, AWS or Azure) • User-facing instinct for operational tooling and actionable error messages • AI-augmented working style; already using AI tools across the engineering workflow • Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns and architectural principles • Demonstrated passion for creating high-quality web/SaaS apps • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal • Self-organized, goal-oriented and self-motivated; confident, thorough and tenacious • Bonus: experience building integration platforms or extensibility frameworks • Bonus: experience with cloud or SaaS billing data or the FOCUS specification • Bonus: experience with BigQuery, data pipelines or orchestration tooling such as Dagster or Airflow • Bonus: experience building AI-powered product features • Bonus: exposure to FinOps practices or cloud financial management products • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience (bonus)
