• Lantern is a specialty care platform connecting people with the best care when they need it. • Lantern Staff Software Engineer (Architecture) to join Architecture team, responsible for driving architectural consistency and scaling the cloud-native platform. • Location: Remote USA; cross-functional collaboration with engineering leads, product managers, clinicians, and compliance. • Responsibilities: senior architecture contributor, modularization, system design, collaboration, mentoring, code quality, and integrations including Salesforce, Kafka, etc. • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, PTO, parental leave.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior/staff/principal-level role. • Proven track record designing and building distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native services using .NET Core (C#) and modern front-end frameworks (React or Angular). • Strong experience in domain-driven design (DDD), microservices, and event-driven architectures using tools such as Apache Kafka (or similar platforms like RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS), including familiarity with saga patterns. • Hands-on experience architecting solutions on Azure or AWS, including serverless functions, messaging queues, managed databases, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep). • Solid experience with CRM integration design, particularly with Salesforce, and other external systems requiring structured API-based data exchange and synchronization. • Demonstrated ability to lead architectural initiatives that drive improvements in scalability, performance, reliability, and developer experience. • Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, DevSecOps, and secrets management best practices. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; able to clearly explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Experience working in regulated domains such as HIPAA and familiarity with healthcare applications or platforms. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
