📋 Description

• Migrate two existing applications into the Rails 8 codebase and define sustainable boundaries • Transform accumulated business logic into consistent Domain-Driven Design abstractions • Implement features end-to-end — from specification discussions with the Product Owner to production deployment • Contribute to shaping the system architecture in team discussions • Write pull requests and help less experienced developers grow through knowledge transfer and mentoring • Make the deployment process faster and more reliable • Evolve style guides and conventions • Work on a consistent codebase for three merged domains

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of production Ruby on Rails experience on an application that has been maintained over time • Affinity for Domain-Driven Design • Ability to identify bloated models, missing abstractions, and inconsistent domain terminology in the code • Mentoring mindset and willingness to explain design and solution decisions • Comfortable working with a plain Ubuntu server, including SSH, systemd, logs, and deployment scripts • Willingness to adhere to and evolve existing style guides • Ability to self-organize and take responsibility in a flat hierarchy • Nice to have: Experience consolidating multiple applications or services into a single codebase • Nice to have: PostgreSQL skills beyond the basics, including query analysis, indexing, and migrating large tables without downtime • Nice to have: Experience in regulated domains such as energy, finance, or mobility • Nice to have: Experience with Sidekiq under load, idempotent jobs, and retry strategies • Nice to have: Basic frontend understanding of Hotwire/Turbo, React, or Vue
