📋 Description

• Lead and implement EMED Group’s Learning & Development Strategy aligned to the People Strategy and organisational objectives • Identify capability gaps and design learning solutions with the Chief People Officer, executive leadership, senior leaders and operational leaders • Design and oversee leadership and management development programmes, including the Manager Acceleration Programme • Lead succession planning and talent development with HR Business Partners and senior leaders • Collaborate with training, clinical, quality, governance, safeguarding, information governance, health and safety and operational colleagues to support safe, compliant and high-quality patient care • Maximise use of the Apprenticeship Levy and develop apprenticeship pathways • Promote professional qualifications and structured development routes • Lead internal communications channels covering corporate news, organisational priorities, celebrations, successes and key messages • Ensure internal communications support engagement, change, culture, colleague voice and shared organisational identity • Lead internal social value activity through the EMED Foundation • Support EMED Foundation campaigns, colleague involvement and governance via the Trustees • Develop social value, employability, outreach and partnership activity with the Talent Resourcing team • Build charitable, community, education and resourcing-related partnerships • Embed lived experience in colleague learning and induction, including a patient-focused dialysis experience video • Scope an outline budget and ensure patient-focused content supports empathy, awareness and patient-centred practice • Strengthen EMED’s external value proposition with charitable and social value partners, including content for bids • Plan, prioritise, maintain budget awareness and provide strategic leadership for the Learning & Development function

• Strategic communication, stakeholder influence and decisive communication during uncertainty • Ability to adapt long-term plans and organisational strategies to changing needs • Ability to align team efforts with organisational objectives and establish clear metrics • Financial understanding for decision-making • Ability to empower team members, promote shared accountability and mentor others • Customer- and patient-focused strategic decision-making • Ability to develop and communicate a compelling learning and organisational capability vision • Experience or capability in succession planning, talent pipelines, mentoring, sponsorship and leadership development • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders strategically • Ability to lead learning, engagement, social value and change initiatives • Ability to communicate the case for change and manage resistance constructively • Ability to foster innovation, continuous improvement and learning • Willingness and ability to undertake national travel
