📋 Description

• Lead design for Ethos’s core conversion funnel, including landing experiences, application flows, underwriting, checkout, onboarding, and policy management • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Brand to deliver cohesive user experiences aligned with conversion and retention outcomes • Improve design systems and craft, accessibility, decision-making discipline, experimentation, storytelling, and use of research and data • Partner with Performance Creative and Brand to create a consistent user journey across growth and product surfaces • Build an environment of excellence and growth for team members • Define how Ethos helps people navigate complex life insurance decisions with confidence, clarity, and care • Champion intentional, intuitive, engaging design, strategic experimentation, compelling storytelling, and measurable business impact

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of product design (UX) experience • Several years leading multi-person design teams • Experience designing complex, decision-heavy B2C user journeys • Experience in industries such as fintech, healthtech, or insurtech • Strong understanding of conversion optimization, user motivation, and behavior design principles • Ability to turn ambiguity into clarity by structuring complex information into actionable flows • Strong team and stakeholder communication skills • Track record of positively impacting product quality and design culture • Portfolio demonstrating visual design, interaction design, storytelling, and measurable business impact
