📋 Description

• This Outside Technical Sales role will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders; understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information and developing accounts. • This is a front line sales position which will be customer facing reselling mechanical engineering technology driving the sales process from start to finish. • Assesses competitors by analyzing ad summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities. • Develops sales opportunities by researching ad identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport, providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and email inquiries; verifying and entering information in a CRM to support account development and business forecasting. • Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery date; explaining stock-outs. • Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features and maintaining regular communication with assigned accounts. • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.

🎯 Requirements

• Engineering or business degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. • Extremely passionate about sales and exceptionally good at it. • Proven ability to learn new technology. • Excellent oral and written communications skills. • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
