📋 Description

• Develop and maintain PHP-based WordPress platforms • Build and extend custom Gutenberg blocks for editorial and UI experiences • Develop React-based front-end features and interactive components • Collaborate on database design, query optimisation, and caching strategies • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards • Work closely with product, editorial, and SEO teams to deliver high-quality features • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and developer tooling • Help improve performance, scalability, and maintainability across platforms • Contribute across the full stack of WordPress-based platforms, including feature development, performance optimisation, technical improvements, and infrastructure work

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of OOP principles and clean code practices • Experience building custom WordPress themes and plugins • Strong experience developing custom Gutenberg blocks • Ability to write maintainable, scalable backend code • Solid knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem, including hooks and filters, WP REST API, custom post types and taxonomies, and performance optimisation • Experience building production-ready React applications using functional components, hooks, and state management • Ability to create responsive and reusable UI components • Experience with MySQL or MariaDB, query optimisation, database performance, Redis caching layers, and WordPress transients • Comfortable with Git workflows, deployment pipelines, Docker, Composer, and NPM
