📋 Description

• Oversee and execute technical, construction, and commissioning activities on customer sites • Manage the full commissioning lifecycle from site mobilisation through final handover • Coordinate civil works, erection activities, and system commissioning • Promote and uphold GE Vernova EHS and site safety standards • Lead testing and commissioning of substation equipment on schedule, within budget, and according to approved quality processes • Direct daily commissioning resources, allocate work, and coordinate site activities • Prepare, issue, and maintain site documentation including RAMS, NCRs, and TQs • Act as LV Authorised Person (Advanced) during incidents and complex site conditions • Resolve commissioning challenges independently and support minor upgrades • Communicate with Site Managers, Project Engineers, customers, and multidisciplinary site teams • Organise commissioning activities to agreed programmes while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) • Strong commissioning expertise and deep knowledge of HV substation systems • Strong technical experience with HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems, IEC 61850 protocols, and commissioning of HV/LV switchgear and associated equipment • Proven fault-finding capability on protection schemes using Omicron, Programma, and Megger • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills • Computer literacy and comfort with digital tools, documentation systems, and test software • Practical understanding of construction and field service operations • Experience ideally gained within high-voltage transmission or grid-integration projects • Experience in North & South Europe Grid System Integration (GSI) or similar turnkey HV project settings supporting AC and DC transmission solutions • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams and multiple countries • Ability to travel extensively to projects and field assignments • Willingness to work overtime as required by field assignments • Ability to act as LV Authorised Person (Advanced) and apply GE Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work procedures
