📋 Description

• Oversee and execute technical, construction, and commissioning activities on customer sites • Ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery from site mobilisation through final handover • Coordinate civil works, erection activities, and system commissioning • Promote and uphold site safety culture and comply with GE Vernova EHS standards • Lead testing and commissioning of substation equipment within schedule, budget, and approved quality processes • Manage and direct daily commissioning resources, work allocation, coordination, and productivity • Prepare, issue, and maintain site documentation including RAMS, NCRs, and TQs • Act as LV Authorised Person (Advanced) under GE Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work procedures • Resolve commissioning challenges, support minor upgrades, and communicate with Site Managers and Project Engineers • Organise and execute commissioning activities according to agreed programmes • Interface with customers and lead multidisciplinary site execution

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) • Solid grounding in power systems and protection principles • Strong technical experience with HV substation protection relays, SCADA systems, IEC 61850 protocols, and HV/LV switchgear commissioning • Proven fault-finding capability on protection schemes using Omicron, Programma, and Megger • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills • Computer literacy and comfort with digital tools, documentation systems, and test software • Practical understanding of construction and field service operations • Experience ideally gained in high-voltage transmission or grid-integration projects • Experience within the North & South Europe Grid System Integration environment or similar turnkey HV project settings • Experience supporting AC and DC transmission solutions • Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams, customers, and site personnel • Able to travel extensively to projects and field assignments • Willing to work overtime as required by field assignments
